She is Prim 'n' Proper as she sits by the hour playing with Princess, her pampered blue Persian cat. Dressed in a frothy drop-waist dress of a peachy-pink Swiss batiste over a ruffled eyelet slip, she has light violet eyes. Her straw cloche is trimmed with a matching bow. Princess is handmade in the Lawton workshops of a rich gray plush imported from England. Prim 'n' Proper represents a new size for Lawtons - she is 12" tall, on a fully articulated 13-joint wooden body.

Fleurette 'n' Fifi - 1998

Fleurette recalls a time of French opulence with her lace-trimmed silk dress an her bejeweled French poodle, Fifi. The sparkle in her blue eyes and her playful smile belie her formal dress.

"Bandit and I spend more time in the wild than in the house," says Betty. She raised Bandit from an orphaned kit no bigger than her palm. Betty has an auburn bob and sprinkling of freckles across her nose. Her cotton plaid dress is tied by a silk bow and she wears a matching silk cloche hat. The plush raccoon, Bandit, is handmade in the Lawton workshops.
